Catherine Hiller began writing in a diary when she was ten and now has dozens of spiral-bound journals, which she never rereads. She grew up in Greenwich Village and Brooklyn, and was educated at Brooklyn College, Sussex University and Brown University, where she received a Ph.D. in English.

Gillian Clegg is co-compiler of the archive for the Chiswick House and Garden Trust. She has lived in Chiswick for 35 years and is the author of many articles and books about the area, including Chiswick Past and The Chiswick Book Past and Present.
David Selzer was born in London in 1942 but has lived in Chester for most of his life. He began writing poems when he was 14. His collection, ’Elsewhere’, edited by Harry Chambers and published by E.J. Morten in 1973, was one of the first in the Peterloo Poets Series. He is an Eric Gregory Award and Felicia Hemans Prize winner.
