No Name Dog by Merlyn Chesterman, an original woodcut, has been hand-printed by the artist on the finest Kozo paper. Part of an edition of 35, it measures 100 mm x 100 mm. We asked Merlyn why this piece is called 'No-name dog': "I took a photo a while back in Kaiping, China, and emailed it to a Chinese friend in Hong Kong. I had tagged the members of the bird-watching group I was with. She emailed back and said 'you haven’t tagged the dog'. 'No', I answered, 'I did ask the name of the dog when we were there, and the old lady said that the dog didn’t have a name.' 'Then you must call him No Name Dog,' my friend replied."
