Bert Holländer was born in the Flemish region of Belgium. She qualified as a teacher at the Ecole Normale pour Instituteurs de Bruxelles and in Fine Arts at the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts d'Anvers, where she specialised in Painting, Drawing and Ceramics.

David Bache was born in Australia, moved to the UK in 1960 and has lived in London since 1979. Following a BA in Graphic Design at Kingston Polytechnic he became professionally involved in photography, initially working as a photographer’s assistant in London in the ‘80s.

Catherine Hiller began writing in a diary when she was ten and now has dozens of spiral-bound journals, which she never rereads. She grew up in Greenwich Village and Brooklyn, and was educated at Brooklyn College, Sussex University and Brown University, where she received a Ph.D. in English.

David Selzer was born in London in 1942 but has lived in Chester for most of his life. He began writing poems when he was 14. His collection, ’Elsewhere’, edited by Harry Chambers and published by E.J. Morten in 1973, was one of the first in the Peterloo Poets Series. He is an Eric Gregory Award and Felicia Hemans Prize winner.
