David Bache was born in Australia, moved to the UK in 1960 and has lived in London since 1979. Following a BA in Graphic Design at Kingston Polytechnic he became professionally involved in photography, initially working as a photographer’s assistant in London in the ‘80s. David Bache

“Curious about almost everything, I soon built up a range of clients of my own, from fashion PR agencies to vintage car dealerships, architects to travel operators.

Reportage photography has always fascinated me and without doubt Henri Cartier-Bresson would be my greatest influence. To an almost equal degree, the technical expertise and grandeur of Ansel Adams' landscape photography still inspires me today and that is reflected in my recent work in the Dolomites.”

David’s photographs have been widely published, from The Sunday Times to The Daily Mail and from Vogue, Tatler, Harpers & Queen and House & Garden through to OK! and Hello magazine.

He has exhibited extensively in the UK, including a solo show at The Association of Photographers gallery in London, following an extensive reportage trip to Vietnam in the late ‘80s. The show went on to be exhibited in Swansea.

“I am currently re-examining my past work, while simultaneously embarking on fresh projects, which combine my original design training and explore my local landscape in London.”

David’s work will soon be available from Armadillo Central – an initial selection has been made from his archives and is currently being prepared for print. Please check back soon for more details or join the mailing list for regular updates.
