Gull on Boat by Jennifer Copley-May Small

Gull on Boat was Jennifer Copley-May's very first print for Armadillo Central and managed to sell copies at the sampling stage. We therefore all share a certain fondness for this little chap. The original was painted using watercolours.

"Gulls are noisy, aggressive, and great subjects for painting. Do you know that old fashioned word 'scallywag?' I think that fits them so well. This was done in Brighton, on the south coast of England, and one can see that I had to work fast. Gulls don’t hang around for painters!"
