“Each painting begins with a colour, chosen in response to my mood at that moment, and is transformed in layers over time. The shapes are influenced by visions of trees, shells, and cosmic patterns.
I use the idea of a portal to describe a space where perception can change. Rather than representing a physical doorway, the paintings are intended to act as environments that you can enter just through looking.”
